About Wilder, Vermont
Wilder is a village within Hartford on the Connecticut River, where the Wilder Dam is a familiar landmark. Originally called Olcott Falls, it took shape as a planned mill community connected with paper-mill owner Charles Wilder. The historic village center still reflects that early design.
