About Forest Hills, Tennessee

From the National Register of Historic Places: "Forest Hills was incorporated in 1957 and took its name at that time to reflect the surrounding landscape. The city covers approximately 9.47 square miles, and in 2000 had a population of 4,710 residents."

From the National Register of Historic Places: "Sections in both the northeast and northwest corners were cut from the original city proposal and the name was changed to Forest Hills. The new city was almost identical to that of the proposed Harpeth Hills, with the boundary lines altered only slightly to exclude opponents of the issue."
