About Hermon, Maine
Hermon is a town of 6,461 people in Penobscot County, Maine, on the western edge of Bangor. Levant lies to its northwest, Glenburn to its northeast, Hampden to its south and Carmel to its west. Souadabscook Stream and Wheeler Stream drain its 36.81 square miles, and Hermon was incorporated as a town in 1814.
- A schoolhouse from 1880The District No. 5 Schoolhouse was built in 1880 as one of the town's district schools. It still stands in Hermon, and it has a place on the National Register.
