About White Oak, Texas
White Oak is a Gregg County city west of Longview, near the meeting of U.S. Highway 80 and Farm Road 3272. The community developed around a school founded in 1887 and expanded rapidly during the oil boom of the 1930s. Incorporated in 1960, it had 6,225 residents in the 2020 census.
