About Battlefield, Missouri
Battlefield is a city in southern Greene County. Its name reflects its proximity to the site of the 1861 Battle of Wilson's Creek, one of the Civil War's first large battles. The 2020 census recorded 5,990 residents, and the community lies 1.5 miles north of the Greene and Christian county line.
