About Clarkston, Georgia
Clarkston is a compact city in DeKalb County, where the 2020 census counted 14,756 residents. The community was incorporated as the Town of Clarkston in 1882 and named for railroad official W. W. Clark. Since the 1990s, refugee resettlement has contributed to the city's noted ethnic diversity.
