About Day Heights, Ohio

Day Heights is a community of 2,625 people in Miami Township, in northwestern Clermont County. It stands on high ground east of Milford, which lies 3.5 miles to the west at the bottom of the hill along Ohio State Route 131, and downtown Cincinnati is 19 miles west. The settlement was first called Pleasant Hill, most likely because of its pleasant setting on top of the hill.

  • A church by about 1820Methodist Episcopal worship had taken root at Pleasant Hill by about 1820, making the church one of the oldest parts of the hilltop's story.
  • Named for the Day familyThe Day family arrived in the early 1960s and came to be known around the area for the farmland they owned. The hilltop dropped its old name of Pleasant Hill and took theirs instead, and it has been called Day Heights ever since.
  • 2,625 people in 2020The 2020 census counted 2,625 people in Day Heights, a census-designated place covering 1.2 square miles. Mount Repose borders it to the north.
